Christmas Decorating!
Well today was a good day! We started off by sleeping in while daddy worked early again. Then we headed to the grocery store (AKA target). We saw daddy! yay! We shopped, came home put the groceries away and daddy came home for turkey leftovers..yummy yummy. Then we all took a nice long afternoon nap...ahhh love weekends together at home!
Then we decided to start Christmas decorating. It took a while but we got it all done. In the mean time our neighbor got locked out so we tried to help her (picture jay and her trying to scale her 2nd floor balcony from a 6 ft ladder (its 12 foot or so probably lol)....but eventually someone brought her a taller ladder and she got in...funny part is she got locked out by her 6 mo old labradoodle...hes adorable and apparently when he was jumping at the door for his mama he locked her out! It was nice to meet her though.
Now we just put the princess to bed and Jays playing games....great end to a great day!

Day after...
Today was the day after Thanksgiving. We had a fantastic thanksgiving feast at home yesterday, just the three of us and Scamp. We enjoyed our traditional favorites including the pie Makenna and I made the evening before. Our stuffing turned out watery but after more time in the oven it was delicious and perfect!
We then laid around and relaxed the remainder of the day! Perfect family day!
Traditionally I go shopping for all/most of our Christmas gifts on Black Friday, this year money is tight and with our pay schedule that wasn't possible. I was however to make some extra room for Santa by selling a few toys shes outgrown and headed out to get a few special sales. I was first in line at Kohls two hours before they opened at midnight. I love the rush and excitement of it all! The line was so long by the time we got in the store! I grabbed the couple things on my list and was headed to Target about 10 minutes later! Upon pulling in at Target the line was still there to get in, they opened at 12 too. I got in line, which was moving steadily at this point but still a line none the less. I got the items I needed easily thanks to my Target employee elf who happened to know exactly where things were set up in the store (DVDs in womens clothes, etc), I got my items and waited in line forever. Then realized I forgot one of the big deals.....went back in...im nuts I know! I then waited in line another 30 minutes or so! I know you want red cards people but isnt there a better day to apply~ geesh!
But all in all I was hope in bed before two and got everything on my list. I spent just over $60 and saved about $150! Yay me!
Tonight Jay is working and princess and I are cleaning and doing laundry so we can set up the tree/decor tomrorrow~I love this time of year! Jay not so much.

Thanksgiving eve
Today marks 8 years since the death of my father. I miss him terribly and long to have him here today to know my daughter. I however know he is in Heaven smiling down on us. I cant believe its been 8 years. I don't dwell on his death daily as its heartbreaking as any parents death is, but I take the time today to remember him extra and cry some and miss him extra. So there is my little tid bit missing my daddy...on to life today.
Today I took Makenna and the girls to Kazoom, a daytime puppet show at a local comedy club with the carolina puppet theater. We met Nanny/mommy Angie and her crew of 4 girls there. We had a great time! Makenna was picked to go on stage as an indian girl..but only lasted a few minutes before she wanted to get off....shes so shy sometimes! The babies enjoyed their first Kazoom experience too, they are really getting easier to take places these days.

Tonight Makenna and I made two apple crumb pies for tomorrow...her first time baking pies with me..she was sooo excited to stir, put cut apples in the measuring cup, and eat apples....shes so fun right now! Im really loving this age!
Jay is working super late (or early i should say) tonight, so it was just princess and I. We had to make a run to Food lion to get cinnamon, after we started the pies we realized we were OUT! Its so nice to have a grocery store within literally 2 minutes from the house.
I then cut up the bread and laid it out, which is usually Jays job. Hopefully I didn't mess it up! I also boiled some eggs to honor hubby's special request of deviled eggs tomorrow...yummm...love him so much!

My little ballerina/gymnast
The pics belwo are of kenna yesteray before we went to her gymnastics/dance class. She had her first non nap day and was in a very silly mood....enjoy the pics!
Today we went to this new play area locally. It was great, reminded me of a play that used to exist here in Raleigh but than was transformed into a much bigger childrens museam. The girls all had a great time playing in the dramatic play areas, with the toys, art and more. There as a photographer there from a local paper and she asked permission to do a piece with the girls in it advertising the new play place....it was fun to have our little photo shoot!
We were there about two hours and had an absolute blast! I see lots of winter days spent there in our future! The factory is fastly becoming a favorite in our fam....lots to do there with the kiddo!
Jay worked both jobs yesterday and with Christmas fast approaching Targets hours have been extended which mean so has his. I know hes exhausted and we miss him lots the nights he works! Hopefully some day we will be able to find him a job that pays more so he can just work one job! For now hes pretty content and likes both jobs, the amount of hours is just hard. Knowing all too well the task of working multiple jobs I feel for him! Cant wait until the long Thanksgiving weekend so we can all spent some extra time together (he does work some but not on Thursday/Sunday!).

Beautiful Sunday!
This morning we got up early go see a girl who Jay used to babysit play soccer. She lives in KY now but is going to be going to college in NC next fall, so we hope to be able to see her play again in the future too! The teams tied and it was lots of fun to watch! Makenna was really into it for most of the time, and only got bored the last couple minutes.
The weather today is amazing here in NC! Its probably about 70 degrees and sunny! Couldn't have asked for a better day to be outside!
We plan to relax this afternoon and maybe watch a movie here later.

Lazy Saturday
Today has been a lazy Saturday. Jay worked at Target early...Kenna and I slept in some...then went grocery shopping (yay for buying Thanksgiving food...YUM cant wait to cook it!).
Then weve all been hanging out the rest of the day. Daddy and Kenna took a nice nap and we are all just lying around watching TV now.

Can I just say I hate hackers....I was dumb..posted some personal information online without really thinking about it...and someone stole my information and started harassing me through email.....like signing me up for stupid email things etc....so I had to change my google information, in return my blog info! Im so sorry! Luckily I hadnt been blogging for very long!
