Step by Step....

We got word from our social worker today that our CRC finally showed up in the system (the last paper we were waiting on). Since I wrote last our PPA (home study) has been approved by our social workers boss (remember our social worker is an intern), and her bosses supervisor....so were literally just waiting on the paper to be in the system (CRC)....well TODAY was the day people...so it is now all in Greensboro on the desks for the review of our Agency decision makers (or in the computer however it all works)...which they can request revisions, etc....before sending it to the state of NC to get our foster license issued, the process can take days or weeks....but ONCE it goes to the state from Greensboro we can start looking at children, being considered for children!

***Side note/prayer request....being that our sweet social worker is an intern she is leaving at the end of this month which means next week, and we will be added to another social workers case load (were told its undetermined who yet and depends on their case loads). Our prayer is that our new social worker will be as great as our current one and dedicated to finding great homes for children that need it! Good news is that our  stuff is done on our agency side, unless Greensboro has revisions (which is VERY common), so the new social worker shouldn't have much work regarding that to complete/do).

So one of the things we had to do tonight was fill out a form to be added to the waiting families gallery for our agency...and to do so we had to come up with a one line quote about our family.....its kind of corny but we submitted...wait for it.....yup we did.....drum roll please.....

"We may not have it all together, but together we have it all"

Yup folks we are officially cornballs but its so true without each other we arent complete but together we can do or get through anything!

So we will see if they approve it or not.

DONE!

We are D O N E !!! Our PPA (home study) is DONE, our paperwork is DONE, and its on the desk of our Social workers bosses (remember our social worker is an intern so we really have two), then after bosses revisions are made (if any) our file goes to Greensboro to be approved (and revisions to be made are made), then our foster care license is sent to the state of NC. So probably a week or so for our workers boss to review, then a couple weeks for Greensboro review then we can be considered for kiddos! They are missing some paper, which hopefully is sitting on someones desk in Greensboro as we speak.....but its not in the system. Our fingerprints came off and were approved without a hitch (some other friends from our classes had some glitches with theirs having to have resubmitted, etc.). There were only a couple revisions to be made tonight as we were reading through her official PPA.

So keep praying for our little girl, or boy, or both....that are meant to be outs, that HE has hand picked for us to help and give a forever home.....pray they are safe and being prepared for us!
