Well we are now completely done and approved on all levels, we are a waiting family.
We got word that our Foster care license was officially approved sometime last week...so we are just waiting...We have been being sent children's in depth profiles for several weeks and we are able to say if we want to be considered for them or not, but have not heard back from any of the ones that we have said yes to at this point, basically we wait to hear if we are in the running for them.....more often that not you don't ever hear back unless you are in the top couple families being considered (because we may not meet their criteria, too many other families have inquired, or a number of other reasons). So...we wait, and PRAY...We know that God has the perfect child picked out for us and us for them and we are trying to be as patient as possible, but of coarse the human side of us wants to know who, when, where and get on with our forever lives together!!
As for non adoption stuff...Makenna started at the YMCA summer camp this week and is LOVING IT...kindergarten is just a few weeks away, which is crazy!! She is growing up so fast, we are enjoying every minute of it! Shes trying hard to learn to swim...and is having a blast jumping and splashing in the pool most weekends!
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I will try to keep you updated on any adoption news as it comes along but for now we wait some more :).
